My first grown up bike when I was 14. Mine was blue though...too bad my wife would notice it next to the YZ

So I did the dumbest thing you can to do a vehicle, I ran it without oil. A few days ago, I went to give it an oil change, and after I put the drain plug back in, I forgot to put new oil in. I fired it up and let it idle for a couple minutes while I went inside to grab my helmet. When I got to the bike, it was still running but I saw the oil light was on and I realized what I had done. So I shut it off and filled it with oil. It started right up and I rode it a couple blocks before it started to lose power and it eventually died. I gave it another oil change and now it will only start if I push-start it. It has little to no power. Basically, I'm pretty sure the engine needs to be rebuilt. I am moving out of state in a week and have two options. I can sell this here on craigslist by Friday (June 21st) or I will be forced to sell it to Steeles Cycles for them to part it out. The body is super clean. And it was running quite well before my effort to change the oil. I would love to sell it to someone that is capable of repairing it and getting it back on the road to enjoy it as much as I did. It rode super smooth. I'm gonna miss her...The carbs were cleaned a couple months ago, seat is brand new and I have a clear title in hand. My price is negotiable. Make me an offer. Contact Chad at: 3zero3-927-8zero6zero

Dang, if I was closer I'd check this out. Terrible seat and all. I'm a sucker for the little Ninjas.

I had an '81 CB750F. That was the original "Llamaha". Don't follow my procedure for rebuild

Tip on changing oil: When oil is draining, stick a wired office tag to the throttle grip to remind you there is no oil. Often oil is draining for other repairs/upgrades and may not be refilled for days or weeks. The tag is a good substitute for Ginko Viagra (remember what the F*** you were supposed to do).

and it may not be you that you have to remind...

I was draining the oil out of my Ducati and it kept dripping so I decided to let it drain overnight. The next day my brother in law had stopped by when I wasn't there to pick up some stuff and was checking out the bike. He told me about it a couple of weeks later and said "I was going to start it up to listen to the new exhaust but didn't have time." He didn't see the oil pan under it. I got lucky, he got luckier

1973 Yamaha 175 and 1972 Suzuki 250 for sale. Both bikes run great and have clean titles.
$300 each or $600 for both.

Apparently sold, I wanted that Suzy. That was my first "dirt" bike.
