  3. Good Job you are doing.

Would you mind telling us what sizes, i.e. the wall thickness for the tube, the centre section and the R.H.S. ?
Mine is corroded in places and I may use some new sections if possible.
Also, I can't see any reason to have the R.H.S. bent other than cosmetic.

    G'day Kaveebee

Welcome to Advrider. I've made the chassis to look as close as possible to the original DJP chassis only better. The original chassis to be quite honest was thin shit material. The original couldn't handle the roads me and my mate Snayle took it on and got repaired several times.

The Square tube is 40x40x3mm. The round from memory is 32x3mm and the centre is 150x50x3mm rectangle tube. Original centre piece was a channel which was the weak point of the chassis. Use the tube. I use 3mm wall on all the tubing and I have found that is strong enough. My chassis's don't break.

If you need more accurate measurements let me know.

Update on the sidecar. I've since discovered I make a better sidecar rider than I do a panel beater/fibreglasser therefore it's off to the painters on Monday. He can fix the holes and paint it. So hopefully in 4 weeks time everything will be finished. Photo's then.

Please post a sound file of the monster when she's done, my two stroke buddy may finally become interested in sidecars, he finds carb honk, blu haze and the smell of burning Klotz intoxicating. :lol3

I can't wait to see this build come together because I had this dream to have a second sidecar rig with a triumph Bonneville or scrambler. I want to find a small tub and come up with a very cool but smaller rig, far different than the one I already own

    G'day

Sorry for no recent updates. I dropped into the painters on the way to Pooncarie and it's coming along. Tank has been stripped and sidecar sanded back and fibreglass repaired. Just about ready for paint.

Updates and photo's as they become available.

    Slack, just slack.

But then, what would you expect from a South Aussie.

    Hi Dave

I rang the painter today. Won't be ready for another week. I have done some more work on it though. Will try to put some photo's up on the weekend.
