I know this has been beat to death, but I just got back from Daytona Trailer Week.
While I understand groups of motorcycles running nose to tail down the Interstate, in the left lane, to keep from getting LOST,
why does the Damn Dually PU with trailer have to stay in the left lane also???

Thanks, that is what I was thinking.

It was 30 miles from the motel, I-4 three lane, and the left lane was blocked every day.
The worst was leaving out Sunday, and other than the non moving over MOTORCYCLES, was the damn TQ's

If people knew how to fucking merge, I bet a lot of these guys pulling trailers would avoid the left lane more often. As it is, people just cruise merrily down on ramps expecting the whole world to yield to them. Very annoying in a normal car, but extremely frustrating pulling a rig that takes longer to brake and get back up to speed and wastes twice the fuel.

    Just a guess.

If you've never driven a big truck pulling a large trailer, you really have no idea how much work it is getting it up to speed, and worse, getting it stopped before you run over that Camry that just came down the on-ramp doing 50 and pulled right in front of you.

PA has a law that states keep right except to pass. How many times have I ever heard of anyone ever getting a ticket for it? Never. They dont enforce it so no one cares if they do it. They can just sit in the left lane and not be bothered by merging traffic doing any speed they want to and be oblivious to everyone around them.

As a CDL driver I can say you hit the nail on the head. When I am pulling a double trailer set with one of our little city tractors, keeping left is often a necessary evil because in the bigger picture it is actually safer and causes less delays in an urban environment.
Out on the open road where merging traffic isn't a problem then it is stupid and selfish.

I am talking about miles of Hardleys, in the left lane doing almost the speed limit, and the trailers that brought them to Bike Week.

    you provide your own answer
they trailered there, what would they know about riding/driving. They might measure their riding in mere hundreds of miles per year or lifetime :lol3

Well unfortunately motorcycles in general tend to appeal to type "A" folks with a narcissistic outlook. The pirate crowd uses being antisocial as part of the persona, and being so image conscious tends to lead to monkey see, monkey do mob mentality.

The folks with their bikes in trailers? probally some emotional need to be identified as being "with" the bikes.

Well... Left laning isnt illegal, so quitcher bitchen.

However, speeding, and depending on the officer passing on the right is.

So just get compliant and STFU. You had your chance to vote on it but didnt, or, you support the passing of laws in the absence of putting it to a popular vote thus the state went ahead without your opinion and wrote it into law anyway.

More subservient and being compliant and less with your communist uprising BS propaganda.

    Learn to fit in.

Oh yeah. And learn to look at things from a economics standpoint and you'll start seeing how or what laws are being enforced.

It's all to keep you safe... Commi!

Same law here and same lack of enforcement.
Edit: Although, having now looked at the chart linked-to by lethe, the "Keep Right ... " signs may be DOT signs and not actually law.

Show your local LEO that :thumb

Translation: They nore I care. If they can't attach a fine to it, or it's too hard to prove in court (aka waste of time) they WILL NOT ENFORCE it.

Sorry, but "Law Enforcement" especially traffic these days is a For-Profit. Get over it. It's a system WE let perpetuate

    http://blog.motorists.org/traffic-tickets-are-big-business/

And it's too easy to throw out a case of you were following THE LAW by NOT speeding, but you were holding up traffic making them pass you?:confused

That's BS and a waste of inc, paper and the courts precious time.
