My last can of Honda Polish has run dry. I really like it for keeping my helmets and bike clean....especially bugs on headlights, windscreens, etc. And it smells nice! What is a comparable replacement? S1000? Plexus? Suggestions please.
i've been using cheap off name furniture polish on my RT since owning in 09. no scratches on windshield or helmet visor either.... been working for me
I had to run into Lowe's Home Improvement yesterday for a few things, and was looking at their aisle of cleaners, waxes, and other household stuff, even a little automotive stuff in there. All I found was household furniture polish. I almost bought a can, but figured my wife probably has some at home I could sample if needed. My primary concern is are they safe for helmet shields. I HATE dirty shields and windscreens!
Pledge works fine but why not just order more? Are you looking for an alternative just for something different or think that it's not available any longer (it wasn't for awhile years ago)? http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/942/28845/Pro-Honda-Spray-Cleaner-&-Polish Also, this is the original formula that Honda used to sell as I understand it, I've used this stuff too with the same results --> http://www.originalbikespirits.com/products/spray-cleaner-polish/ My local bike shop carries it too.
I picked up a can of Motul shine and go cleaner. It works well. Has a bit more shine than the Honda stuff.. I use it in between washings especially before I put on a tank bag. Yes I admit that I wash my bike. :) http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/21135/i/motul-shine---go-cleaner-protectant
I'm really liking S100 as a general cleaner. Much cheaper on Amazon, and if you buy the gallon refill. Pretty amazed that the 'spray on, rinse off' claim is actually true. For plastics, Plexus, though the price of this stuff is going through the roof.
First, Hydrogen Peroxide and a few drops of dish soap in a spray bottle to remove bugs, from shield, headlight, everywhere, amazing:eek1 Second, Turtle Wax ICE wax spray
Hydrogen Peroxide is sold at 1 to 3 %...97% water, never had ANY reaction using it on ANY surface. $0.88 for a quart at WallyWorld, take a chance, give it a try It eats protein:huh
The "Original" in the pink can is the exact same stuff. Honda just didn't want their name on it anymore. :)
I also have used Honda Spray Cleaner/Polish for years now. You can use it on anything and it won't damage it. I think it is some of the best stuff around. Last time I had to buy more I bought it online, I think from Amazon to get it the cheapest I could find. Bought two bottles but should have just bought a case. ben
This is what I use. Nit sure why Honda would not want their name on it. By far the best stuff in a can since the flesh light. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2
Pledge Orange, it smells - DELICIOUS. For windscreen this is good. Mirror Glaze, been used on airplanes forever. http://www.rakuten.com/prod/mirror-glaze-plastic-cleaner-consumables-polishing-single/227754340.html?listingId=296492777&scid=pla_google_Wayfair&adid=18179&gclid=CJvF-eCQ4b0CFaw-MgodmgMAyQ
