Not quite yet remote. Not nearly as impressive as some of the other stories on here.
After a few failed attempts to patch it, I put a front tube in and rode back to the dealership a few miles back. Oh the looks I got once I told them I put a front tube in the back tire.

Actually your question got me thinking. I came to realize never having had a bad flat: a few in the rain, yes, but not cold, so even those were ok.
Now a flat while being cold and wet that would be inconvenient.:evil

Not familiar with the Concours. What makes the TPS stand out in relation to others?

It has given me early warning of a puncture. It was a slowish leak and I didn't have a repair kit with me (always do now) so I was able to ride from gas station (I was after their compressor not the gas) to gas station keeping an eye on the tyre pressure until I got back to civilisation and a bike shop to fix the tyre.

    Wicked.
So you got lucky having access to compressors on the escape route. In a similar situation I had to rely on the bicycle pump strapped to the frame. Took me 30-40 mins of pumping for every 6 km. Still beated pushing the loaded bike, but I didn't made it home before dark.:D

Sweaty Mr Markie - it was in the desert east of Zaragoza in Spain and HOT

Luckily there was an irrigation channel 10 meters away so I could wash up / cool down afterwards, although I think my mate was hoping for a "Markie plunges into the water" shot....

The plug I put in this stuffed tyre got me 500km to home. Tyre did not look quite as bad when I got the puncture. Hot weather and rough roads really did the tyre in.

How to deal with a nail in the tubeless tyre in eastern Europe, Macedonia to be exact:

I brought a tyre repair kit so we start to clean the "wound" and try to fix it. It works more or less but it's not good enough for the remaining trip, so we look out for a vulcaniser. Usually, there's an abundance of vulcanisers but now there is of course none to be found. After some asking and riding from here to there we find one.

Beaming with pride I announce to my buddy while pointing to the sign "look, that means Vulkaniser, good thing I can read cyrillic, right?". He crushes my ego by pointing out it's obvious because there are tons of tyres piled up outside. :lol3

The two guys running the garage don't mess around and start to take off the rear wheel 10 seconds after we arrived. They seem to have never worked on a bike and start fiddling around with the chain adjuster. My buddy intervenes in their enthusiasm and shows them the rear axle nut and dismounts it.

The procedure is well-coordinated and they fix the hole in no time.

They're fast learners and mount the rear wheel by themselves, only supervised by Andi.

It only took them around fifteen minutes and they charged 300 Macedonian Denar, which is 5 € or 6 US$.

The fix was really good, although the Daytona has quite some power, it never became a problem and we were able to ride the rest of the trip, about 5000km or 3000 miles, trouble-free.
