So the 4 teams i wanted to win all lost, everyone but denver showed how important home field advatage is.
That was a great weekend of football with 2 of the best playoff games ever (Ravens & Atlanta) and my team unleashing a new star. I was hopeful that the NE game would be competitive but Houston was shown what a true elite team, and quarterback, looks like. Next Sunday will be epic!!!
I hope so, also. Next week's games should be very, very good. If I were Atlanta, I'd be seriously worried about the 49ers.
That will be a good game. Where as I think the New England/Baltimore game will be a blowout because The Pats coasted and the Ravens are and will be physically and emotionally drained. Then again I'm way more a fan than an analyst.
Same here: fan, not really an analyst. And it seems to me that the Patriots just know how to beat the Ravens. Plus, they're playing at Foxborough. That's a huge advantage. We'll see... I am looking forward to that game, also. On a personal note, I'd love to see Ray Lewis lose this game just so I never have to see that stupid dance ever again.
Ray's been a bit over the top but I certainly respect his attitude and there's no doubt of his influence on man-up style of football and Hall of Fame credentials. I'm hopeful that he'll stay mentally sharp through his lifetime because most of his very physical career has allowed head shots.
Ray Lewis is more of a man than 90% of the players in the NFL. If you want to see the definition of Team Player look to Lewis. Always humble, always an inspiration, always nobel, always gives 100%. He can dance any way he wants as far as I'm concerned. I've got to say I'm still kind of stunned from the weekend. I thought GB could play some smash mouth football when they needed to. I guess I was wrong. I thought the Seattle and the Denver secondaries could stay deep when it counted. They couldn't execute in either case. I'm having a hard time figuring the ATL/SF game. Seattle got tough and ATL seemed to fold up a little in the second half. I think SF can be tougher from the start. But SF seems to have had let downs at key points during the year, especially after big games. Not sure who I want to pick yet.
Man or not, Ray should dance after a win, not before the game. Dancing before the game makes him look like a self-aggrandizing asshat.
I certainly hope that Ray isn't permanently brain-damaged from football, but most of those "head shots" were Ray hitting defenseless players. That's the only thing I don't respect about his game. Team player = yes. Inspirational = yes. High football IQ = yes. Hall of Fame = without a doubt. But that dance before the game makes him look like a spastic jerk.
It's a game, it should be about having fun. Now would I want my surgeon doing a Ray Lewis dance before slicing me open? Nah, don't think so. But if Ray wants to get pumped up dancing like a spastic chicken, go for it.
I heard RG3 was pretty fast too. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/lP5dbvar6Do?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Bobby 3 sticks is a suicide machine. Kaepernick is more like Cam Newton. You had trouble with him didn't you? It's going to be a pretty good game I hope.
