    Hi Doug!
Yeah, it's pretty cool having friends who just happen to have those kind of powers, eh?
May he always be a benevolent one. :D

Ah yes, the epic of the Kane Creek. A story oft told around camp fires - it still scares the kids.

You told me it costs you an average of $100 every time you take that bike on a ride. What is the tally on this one? :evil :wave

My heavens Uli, first where is yo ankles?? No wonder you have open blisters, you have those 18 inch calves and then yo feet, no ankles. There must be some flexing, ie ankles, or blisters are a natural.

Also where is your roll of mole skin?? That stuff is like JB weld, super tape, zip ties, a MUST have!! All my Canadian survival class knew one must have Mole skin!!! I will gladly give you some.:D

Sure glad all went well and you live to ride again.!! May I suggest you wear more orange, you are almost totally 'rhino bedliner black" also I can send you a pic of proper color combo for that 9fifffity.

Does those twin cans sound as nice as ED's???

    keep smiling, gale

If no moleskin, use duct tape. Works like a charm to keep blisters from forming. Available in KTM orange at your local Target.

OK, before this turns into medical thread, it's the picture, Gale. The phone camera piture is all distorted and makes my legs look all funny in that pic. Honestly, I have normal looking legs. Just like that camera makes the rest of me look good, it's all an illusion.
Geez, now I have a leg complex. Do those socks make my legs look fat?

I can't remember what Geek's cans sound like. Mine have the inserts removed but have spark arrestors installed in their place. So now they are aboot as loud as the stock Akros. I did ride for a while with no inserts nor arrestors; a tiny bit on the loud side. WOW!!!! You can hear that monster from miles away. Not too cool.

I taped ankles for over 20 years as a football coach, Bear Creek, Garden City Jr.College, Pinedale High School and I know for sure ankles like those in the pics are the easiest to put a good smooth tape job that will last the entire 4 quarters.

Those tiny/skinny/bony little running backs and their bird legs were a total bit/ er, challenge to tape smoothly , always some tape bunching up just enough to rub a hot spot by the 3 quarter.

I would have given some of my salary to have players with those calves!!!:lol3

My 2 cents and I have the grey hair /wrinkles to stick with this story.:D

    Good read, Uli.
It was probaly a good thing you were by yourself. If you were trying to keep up with someone on a smaller bike you might have gone too far.

That's impossible. Possible: He lifted the side of the mountain until the bike tipped the other way.

    :lol3 Oh Gale, you're killing man. :D
But I'll take your advice and put some tape on it NEXT time it happens, I promise. Or, I'll just walk out in my soft wool socks and stash the boots by the bike. But now that I just announced that to the rest of the riding world, they'll all start searching the underbrush for my nice Sidis when they find my abandoned bike like a herd of kids on Easter Sunday. You all stay away from my stinky precious boots, ya hear?
