Chesil Beach Dorset. This beach is 7miles long, formed of pebbles and starts near Abbotsbury and finishes at Portland and forms part of the UK's jurassic coast. The picture was taken at the top of Abbotsbury Hill and looking towards Portland. At the tip of Portland (known as Portland Bill) two tides meet. Looking at the picture you have West Bay on the right and Wemouth Bay on the left. The difference in the tides can be as much as 2mtrs in height. Here endeth the geography lesson for today!!
