+1. Very happy with the Wolfman that I used on the strom- also put one (with flat bottom) on the Speed Triple.

Talked to dealer this am after sending him pics. Said it was the first one he's seen in 10 yrs and that Yamaha should have no problem fixing everything that was damaged.:clap

I could live with the gouges (deeper than it looks in pics) but don't want that worry that it could develop a crack later on.

May have helped that the threads were gone. Hard to argue that routine checking would have
kept the nipple from coming loose. Looks like it broke whether it did before or after coming out.
Nice to hear the are going to be stand up about it.

I don't think companies realize the power of the internet for positive or negative vibes.
We do tend to remember the negative no matter how minor.

Just got the following this morning from Ed Cook at "AF-1 Racing" in New Braunfels, TX. Ed is who did my ECUnleashed re-flash, and his shop is an authorized ECUnleashed dealer.

I think you guys here in the USA with an ECUnleashed re-flash might find it interesting... Note, you've got to act quick!

Please note, this is all the information I have at this time... You know what I know, and if you have any questions you might want to contact ECUnleashed directly (http://ecunleashed.com/), and right away.

    Just FYI...

Oh shit, I have to get to that one fairing bolt one more time???

I'll have to call to see what the difference is.

Thanks for the heads up Dallara!

Very interesting...I could speculate about a whole list of reasons they are doing this, but I won't. I will get the Gen 2 flash updated very soon though.

I just got the factory bag. I've never purchased the factory tank bag for one of my bikes before.

Fits absolutely perfectly. Has a plastic clasp at top of tank, magnets in center running down spine and a plastic removal strap/clasp down by the seat.

Not to burst your bubble. I got rid of my OEM bag. Slides all over off road.
Thing was always hanging off the side of the tank at the worst time.
No problem at all on the slab. With the ditty bag on the back it felt a little
crowded moving up on it too.

I know. :stfu little Mary sunshine. Sorry.

I'll give this one a try and then give up on it and buy the WolfmanJack special. Does yours have magnets or no?

No magnets. Just a rubberized bottom and four straps. Keep in mind it was some
pretty rough off road. I put a bungee cord on it and that helped.

The ones that mount on the gas cap ring seem popular too.

I wouldn't use one if you ride in dusty conditions... DAMHIK

Mine ended up bungied on the back of my wife's DR for the remainder of a dual sport ride we were on, just barely got it released on day two or I would have been screwed for getting gas in my tank. :deal

Any of you guys know where I can get these pins cheaper?

    <img src="http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/515DvL-McvL._SL1278_.jpg" height="50%" width="50%">

I can get 50 of them on Amazon for $20 +S&H. I only need three.

They're the molex pins needed to use in the special 3 and 4 pin auxiliary connectors on the bike. I purchased the 3 pin connector but it didn't come with the pins.

Try your shop if your on good terms with the service manager or a tech.
My shop gave me some, just to get me by. I paid them back later..

Absolutely the greatest place to get any Japanese electrical supplies is from Jim Davis at Eastern Beaver - http://www.easternbeaver.com/

He's the best, and once you become a customer you will be one for life!

I just managed to find this place through some inadvertent searching right after my post.

Still sucks as I need to purchase over $20 so the shipping isn't $100 for a $1 part :lol3

Already tried Radio Shack. They only carry the tube type molex found on PC's.

Sold mine for this reason. Don't get me wrong... it's a great bag for the road. But after hitting a rut pretty hard while off roading the bag came unhooked at the front and flopped to the side making an already tricky section of trail that much more challenging. YMMV

Not really if you ride on sand or mud ... it relieves the strength you have to apply on the handlebars when you get on those 'ugly' places ... desert, swamps, etc. ... just ask Jaume if he considers it useful.
    Cheers,
