He sold it to me for $500. His daughter never used it so it was basically in mint condition when I got it this past spring from him. And, he gave me a friend deal. I'm sure he could have sold it online for $700+ or at least that's what he told me. Also, the speed adjustment (governor) is a must for the really young ones and/or beginners. These bikes can really zip at full power! ![]() I'm sure all of the models and makes have a power adjustment. |

So Im looking for something for my 5 year old and Im torn between the Kuberg Trial E and the Oset 16-36V. The Kuberg is available from Amazon for $1100 and change. I can get a new Oset for $1300 shipped to my door. The main functional difference I see is the battery. The Kuberg has two 12V batteries (at least according to the spec I can find) that yields 24 Volts. The Oset is obviously a 36 Volt setup. However they both appear to have 750W motors.
Thoughts? Edit: This all may be moot as I will probably switch over to LiPo batteries...

2 kids raised on OSET. They are a known quality bike that are active in the sport. I know where I would go.

I ended up taking the leap on a Kuberg.
I dont pretend to be a trials expert. Ive never owned a trials bike. I learned to ride at age 26 on an 88 CR500. My boys are already riding on a XR70 (8 year old) and XR50 (5 year old). My youngest isnt getting up on the pegs. So the XR50 was sold and the Kuberg will replace it. My hope is to get him up on the pegs on a lighter bike without him getting distracted by the engine. We will see how it goes. I'll likely start a new thread to follow my Kuberg experience. Cheers Brett

Mechatecno
My 6yr old has a 36v mecatecno, he's dying to go across the creek, but I can see a damaged motor and wiring when he goes ass up mid creek.
Any idea how creek proof these type of bikes are?
