There are a lot of variables that influence the airflow. I'm a bit over 6', with the current setup on the husky the airflow is very clean, it hits me on the chin at 60mph (Husky doesn't like going much faster). Absolutely no buffeting, I am shocked at how clean the airflow is coming off the fairing.
I'm in too. 500EXC just like Harcus, so just give us the word when the sales start. Had your fog lights on my Tiger. Lit up street signs a half mile down the road and 100 yards off to each side. Brad
Pay for the mold and you can have all yours for free Model 60s are mounted, wait till you see the night pics
Two Model 60 LEDs in our dualsport fairing. On the street, plenty of light on low beam although it looks dim. Hit the high beam and oh my, hide the children. Low beam (rememeber, it is adjustable) Pow, making daylight on high beam
You mentioned the local constabulary approving this setup...I assume this was non-official, and passed due to the dimmer? I'm debating using one of your 44s with a dimmer as a main light, but the whole DOT thing has me a little worried. I don't want to get hassled for illegal lights. As long as you're not blinding other drivers, they probably won't care, right?
Yes, I was asking his opinion as a LEO with 25yrs experience, said he wouldn't give it a second look. This was at night which would be worst case as far as the possibility of blinding oncoming traffic. I understand your concern, but I think they have bigger issues to deal with.
I have been running another brand of driving light and low beam both all all the time, both HID (made by TT), I pass by LEOs evernight on the way home and I have never been hasseled, I am going on 3 years in that configuration. YMMV. Unless the lights are super obnoxious they aren't going to bother. They want to nick the guy going 8+ MPH over, now if you happen to be THAT guy, they may tack it on just to aad to the $$ that you will have to pay.
That would be great, with the fairing off. Dimensions of the location of the stock mounting points would be even better. Thanks
Nothing behind the faring yet, however it is designed to accomodate existing accessories. Prototype 2
