Now I'm sure there's something not right with you. Actually I've been sure for quite some time.

And, how come you've never offered up a bike to me? I'm quite sure you'd have gotten a much warmer reception waking me up that day on the side of the road. :lol3

    ps: good on ya Mike!

pps: Alex, what can I say :eek1, some days it's good to you. :bubba

Please don't paint it. Please don't paint it. Please don't paint it!

I want to see the expressions on people's faces when you ride up on that bike :huh

Yeah, Mr. Foole is a little off, but in a comforting way. I've never been told to go fuck myself so often in the first ten minutes after introduction. I feel like I'm home.

I also feel EXTREMELY fortunate that I find myself in this position. I don't take handouts, but I'm making an exception here. I'm not worthy...

I don't plan on painting her, but moreover cannibalizing Patty. I will strip her down to the frame, reinforce the backbone and downtube with 2in pipe, and add several gussets to strategic places. This will all go down at Rust's place in Phoenix, another extremely generous guy I've run into along my travels. I will then re-assemble, install Janis's motor and plastics, and ride on.

It's amazing how this is all just kind of falling together here.

I was thinking back about the series of events that place me in any given situation and I find it fascinating. A perfect example: I just spent nearly a month living in the El Dorado Casino in Reno and working at the Sierra Army Depot north of the city. I was making fairly decent money JUST as I had run out. Beechum got me this job. And the funny thing is, I wouldn't have met him had I not broken my bike in half in Mexico as he was one guy on the forum that offered to come down and rescue my ass. I may not have broken the bike had I not flipped it the previous summer and put the frame through the ensuing stress and blows. I would not have flipped the bike had I not installed new suspension on it and gone out on a test run, jumping train tracks and what not. This can keep going....

On a side note, thanks to Mr. Beechum, I will be driving a chase truck in this year's Baja 1000. He's a good guy to know.

Hey Parepin, let me know what section of the Baja Mille you'll be
chasing. I'll be somewhere between LA Bay and Loreto pitting/chasing
for my son who will be in a class 2 buggy. Maybe we can lift a few together.

aka OMP in my race group.

It sounds like I'll be chasing from Ensenada down to Puertocitos. If I can make it happen (which will be entirely based on $$$), I'd like to go all the way to La Paz so I can, you know, party.

If Beechum wouldn't have gotten you the job in Reno you wouldn't have ended up lost is Suburbia trying to find a mythical dirt road. Next time you're up this way we'll have to ride somewhere I actually know! :lol3

Are you sure you remember how to drive a truck?

Why you gotta be raggin on the shock?

But yeah, I plan on replacing it when I find the cash... In the meantime, I'm gonna have it rebuilt.
