Just pulling my Ohlins off my 04 GSA and looking for suggestions on where to send them for R and R. Put about 40 K miles on them but they seem OK. Headed to South America and don't want a "Long Way Down" situation!!!
U out west? I'm sure there's others but many folks are getting Ohlins from Dan Kyle http://www.kyleusa.com out in California or you could always send them back to Ohlins HQ in NC...or call them and ask who they would recommend in your area. Whenever I speak to anyone there, they've all been very friendly and helpful. http://www.ohlinsusa.com/us/index.php?option=com_contact&view=category&catid=35&Itemid=64
I had mine rebuilt at www.Aftershocks-suspension.com It subleases space at Kari Praeger's new store in Livermore, Ca. (www.trivalleymoto.com) To me the advantage was I could drop them off and pick them up. That went to hell when they did not get them done on the date promised. The work was OK though. Frankly if I was doing it again - your supposed to do the servicing every 25k miles, I would send an e-mail to matt.sage@ohlinsusa.com He sends you back a short form with shipping instructions. They guarntee a two week turnaround. The form has a few questions about riding style. So they check and change your settings which the other guys don't do. Either way its going to cost you $300 to $400 plus shipping. I was stunned at the improvement in handling after the rebuild. Dave
