Anybody hear how the organisers felt the weekend went? I only went Sunday, but couldn't believe the number of people there. I decided to leave early to avoid the traffic jam. A bit slow getting in today, but at least I caught up with all my phone calls while I was waiting. The riding was great! The top guys make it look easy. Shit, the last two sections looked bloody scary.
Muds - I retract the soft cock statement - Good to see you there on the bike. I hope fellow Victorians realize how lucky we are to have another World motorcycling event in our state. Great spectacle and great day for riding (bit cool late arvo but!)
Got there on Thursday.. Wet few days... But still worth it !! Enjoyed the whole four days and especially the Saturday and Sunday. Don (Hattah) joined me on Saturday Morning.. Great riding. Bring on the next one. Some H.D Video to come. Cheers.
At the prize ceremony the presenter mentioned that everyone he'd spoken to thought the course was good. This doesn't quite answer you question though - sorry.
Fun event! I left a bit early on Sunday as well to avoid a repeat of the morning (2km of backed up traffic), which meant I was filtering around everybody offroad on the CBR! I was very glad to watch and not participate it looked pretty damn tough.
I went on Sunday and really enjoyed it. I've never watched trials before - what an introduction! Some pics I took can be seen at the link below: http://www.flickr.com/photos/94704762@N00/sets/72157629943320498/ Tex
For someone that doesnt know much about Trials you took some great shots! Gutted I couldnt go, Thanks Tex
Saw some pretty trick bikes out in the car park also.... This one is a Kawasaki Transalp Mutant. Looked really neat with that 21" Transalp front end, matching spoked rear wheel with black rims, trick rear shock etc. Then I thought I spotted a full monte Rallye bike roll into the carpark and found this fine example of one tricked up 690. Top job Mudguts! And the trials riding was unbelievable! Hard to comprehend how they did what they do. Cheers - Ron.
Nice, but you might want to try the spell checker for the next epic adventure. Looks like a good roll up to what was a magnificent display of skill and ability. i would love to see some more.
I have been riding trials on and off since I was 15....so 18 years. Was a mid level 'B' Grade rider when I last gave it up 4 years ago... Have watched all the best Aussies in that time.. Dean Nuttal, Kale Reed, Zarzinski brothers, Trevor Campbell, Neil Price, etc, etc and even Stefan Merriman when he was at his best! I though these guys would be good, and have seen all the videos of the indoors and outdoors for the last however many years.. but could not believe my eyes when I saw the sections on Friday arvo. Toni Bou is not human! Have not stopped showing people the videos on my phone since I have been back, BUT NOTHING COMPARES TO SEEING THEM IN THE FLESH!!!!:huh Unbelievable weekend. Lets hope it is not the last one... rumours of the teams complaining about the expense of getting here.... Cheers Scotty
Wasn't it just amazing !!!!! :eek1 incase any one missed it here's a great little compilation http://youtu.be/9_uht-cKM7c BT
