For those of you waiting for waiting for my daily update....It's friggen Valentines day and Sister Mary Margaret (my lovely wife of 30 years(at this point it is a life sentence)) deserves some attention too!
I think she might be jealous of the time spent on the trailer so I have to be good tonight.

42 minutes?!

Well...including dinner 42 minutes

Let's do the math:

30 min. fish sticks in the oven
8 min. to find where you put the paper plates and plastic dinner ware and set the table.
2 min. to scarf the stuff down

That leaves 2 minutes to, uh, perform other services.

You, sir, are a stud and I congratulate you on exceeding my own skills.

It WAS Valentine day so I was willing to put in the extra time...

Ok, I'm recovered from my mini marathon and am back at work...

I have come a long way!



I wanted the holes to be cleaner for the wheel chocks and found I could drill by hand and get a nice clean cut.



and then flipped it over to trim the hole,



And found this, I LIKE IT!!!



Pain in the butttt fitting it all but everything will line up nicely I think. Have to stop because each piece needs to be bolted down before I can do final installation.

Floor is in and DONE! All the wheel chocks and etrack are bolted down.

Even though it was cold and we had 30 mph winds here today I manned up and mounted the battery vent, power cord, water fill doors, and 120 outlet on the exterior so I could tie everything into the trailer.



I tried to hook up the battery vent( and water fill) but the 1-1/4" tubing I bought was way too stiff even after heating it up it just won't bend.



I mounted the water pump above the tank to save space but it vibrated like a coin operated bed in Reno because it was centered between the studs.



So I moved it down and close to the stud, seemed much better.

I have to say this is the best $99 I have spent on the trailer so far, I love it!

Also.... I was able to test the converter with everything running at once, 8 lights, Fantastic fan, water pump all at the same time. According to the manual a alarm will sound if you exceed the DC output of the unit, which I did not calculate but guessed....I guess right?

Pretty nice stuff there. I like the alum cabinets that they have. Reasonable price, for alum.

My intention was to use there (PitPosse)cabinets but for many reasons I ended up with the ones I did. I researched it quite a bit and those are definitely the best bang for the buck in aluminum cabinets. I just ordered a bunch more stuff from them, Helmet hooks,shelves,etc. we'll see how that stuff is soon.

The table comes with extra grommets so you can remove the table and install elsewhere which I will do on the outside so that will be my barbeque table.

Sounds like a nice plan. My box is the height of a loading dock. I'm looking at stuff that slides out from the bottom and under box storage compartments. Ideally if I could store my extra fuel there and have some sort of table I'd be happy.
It's time I'm lacking at the moment. I'm in the wrong country, too.

Having owned RVs and used their duall battery internal electrical systems, I'm secure in saying that your one small battery is not going to power much or last very long. If you're running just LED lights and the occassional water pump then, you'll be ok for a short while. I see you have the generator so maybe the 12V electrical system is not one of your top priorities.

While you're in the middle of the build is the best time to add another battery or 2. You'll be glad you did. The optima yellow tops AGM batteries are made to be deeply discharged and recharged without harming the battery. They're a bit more expensive but will last longer and perferm better. http://www.optimabatteries.com/us/en/products/yellowtop/ Another nice thing is that you wouldn't need to vent the sealed optima batteries.

It's true a dual 6V battery setup will hold more capacity, but taking good care of a single 12 is fine IMO.

Mine's detachable/removable, with a tender on the front, so I can keep it warm and topped off in the garage rather than freezing and self-discharging in the trailer when i'm not using it.

I can go through the day running the furnace and a light or two off a fully-charged battery, which is nice if I take the pup along. Can keep him warm and comfy in the trailer while we're out sledding and not have to deal with the generator.

Any leads on good RV parts companies? I'm looking for a fold away dinette bed.
