I don't like how the bike snaps off idle right now. Wouldn't a quick turn throttles make the snap worse?

research it, it has different cams that attach to end of throttle tube and some cams are slower pull than stock.
It made my cr500 into just a death machine instead of a certain death machine.

OK Thanks, I didn't' realize they made them to take away some snap, I thought it was only the other way around. I will check them out. Mine is nowhere near a death machine, but it is still annoying.
Certain death is not good, probably the best $30 you've spent. :D

Speaking from direct use experience with the G2 Dirt Tamer, it gives a softer off idle response and puts the snap or quick turn portion up near the power band. They make specific models for each engine style (2T-4T etc) Check em out and even give them a call. They are here in Illinois and are very eager to help you out.

    It's a 250.
I envision me keeping it forever. This particular bike has some sentimental value actually.
Funny you mentioned the igntion issue. I have a buddy who has the 175 model in Brighton Pk and his ignition crapped out.

This one ran great before he stored it in the rafters in '82. I hope to clean the carb and tank this weekend and give it a go.
It was leaned up against two other Hercules and two Bultaco's covered in about a half inch of dust. I believe the rest of the dust is on I65 right now. :)
