Got an email that my harness was shipped the 24th.

    Been a week. NO harness.

How long should I give them before getting concerned?

If it was shipped "ground" it should take a week depending from where it was shipped from, and it's destination.

I'm a shipping manager for two businesses located at the same site...up to 7 days for UPS Ground is pretty standard. It's regional area based, distance from distribution hubs etc.
Exceptions do occur and the shipper will receive notice of such incidents with cause of delay etc.
    Try requesting a tracking number?

EDIT: 7 shipping days refers to "business" days only. Weekends don' t count.

They do not issue a tracking number for purchases under $80.

    Ours was $76 +/-

No luck on the tracking no

Not pleased with this type of service. They were paid immediately, been going on 14 days since the order was placed. Seems a bit long in our estimation, in this day of overnight shipping, 2nd and 3rd day.

    Oh well, no big deal!!!!

Just cked our invoice $12.58 to ship a headlight harness seems to be excessive. especially if it was shipped ground.

I guess the bad is on us for not being more concerned about what we were ordering.

Live and learn and not buy again!

Believe me, I understand both sides of this situation.

    probable scenario:
Shipped 24th can mean label was created not necessarily in transit until the 25th once picked up or dropped off with UPS
if we're even talking UPS then depending on the shipping from and to locations you should have it by Monday at the latest.

You DO realize that Eastern Beaver is a Canadian guy living in Japan and everything is shipped by mail from Japan?

It takes longer than domestic shipping to get stuff. Jim Davis is a stand up guy who does good work. I've used him on more than one occasion and been more than pleased with his products.:deal

I've never had a problem with my orders from Eastern Beaver. They are shipping from Japan though so I'm sure there's some opportunity for delays.

How would we know that he was in Japan?

    Placed an order

    Paid his price

    Expected timely delivery

    Not able to track package

    Oh well

Glad he is a stand up guy and the Japanese have an effective shipping process.

    Regards

    Appreciate the input and update.

Still does not mean we are pleased.

But, like we said, our fault!!

Yep, I was shocked it came from Japan when I ordered. Kind of got the feeling the web site hid that info as to not scare off US buyers. Still, my parts came relatively quickly considering it was overseas.

Jim is an honest guy and Japan Post is a reliable system. I'd ping Jim directly and ask for advice if you still haven't received it in a few more days.

It usually takes 1-2 weeks for stuff from EB so all is well. His stuff it top quality and worth the wait. Thx for reminding me that I need to place another order.

I have is H4 relay harness, Headlight cut, taillight harness, accesory adapter, and ABS cut harnesses on my bike as well as couple of switches.

Perusing his site, it does not look to me like he is trying to hide that he is in Japan; it is mentioned several places, including here: http://www.easternbeaver.com/Main/Company/company.html

I often order items from China on Amazon and am usually amazed how quickly they arrive here (e.g., 7 days). OTOH, I recently had a small package I sent UPS take more than 2 weeks to get to Nova Scotia....

Have no doubt Jim is a stand up guy.

In today;s world of Instant Fulfillment via overnight and 2nd day delivery, two weeks or so seems a bit out of the ordinary.

Couple that with the DS setting on the stand waiting to have it light system upgraded.

    Well you get the idea
