    ah, lets see,

bits replaced due to wear , 1 x starter , 3 or 4 reg/rec's , numerous brake discs, 2 x carbies ( I got the last new set left in the world a few years ago) , many steering head bearings , many wheel bearings, 1 set of swingarm / linkage bearings , a couple sets of rims/spokes. Ive had a few electrical issues this year, the wiring harness is getting old, I must get around to buying a new 1 soon while they are still available.

Bits replaced for mods - forks, shock, muffler , speedo

I rebuilt the original engine at about 200,000km, was using a bit of oil but nothing drastic, had to split the cases to replace a countershaft (had a sprocket welded on for 30,000km) . When I rebuilt it I went a bit mad, high comp wiseco 1mm OS pistons , head flowed, cams dialled etc etc. However the shitty wiseco rings were worn out at about 45,000km so replaced the engine with a spare I had acquired, the engine in the bike now has about 160,000km on it and is using a bit of oil but will go for a bit yet till I decide what Im going to do with the modded engine.

bits still original at 395,000km - frame, swingarm , bodywork

    Ok. A bit then:)
But you use it too I guess. Meaning, doing a lot of gravelroads etc? I´m not that techy. Would love to take her apart, blaster and powdercoat her. If I had a garage or likewise I´d do it.
    I realy love that bike:lol3

Look what I got , now I can ride from Chicago all the way to Tierra Del Fuego on one fill up. All the way from Boano Racing in Italy 43 liter dual cap fuel tank. Quality is absolutely horrible , the fiberglass was obviously laid by a three year old. I hope it won't leak :huh...

Wow, I'm surprised at that. Good information to have as I toil away on my RD03 restoration...
I wonder if African Queens tanks are any different?
