Ha ha! I know what you are saying. I accept that :evil

And thanks everyone for the positive words, that was a heck of a ride that could have been so boring, I guess I just lucked out again. How long can this last? I need to keep riding and being smart. Hopefully I learned a big lesson on this trip to be more aware of worn motorcycle components, like wheel bearings. I should also replace the swing arm bearings the next big ride, that's what I blew out on the Border with Haiti ride, I don't want anymore problems caused by neglect.

    Cheers! :super

Awesome little ride report to look forward to spring fling with the wife.
Those leather bags could probably be re-sewn with some super fishing line so they don't come apart again.

Hey CaveBiker! Wow man, I stumbled across this ride report today and can't get enough! I hope you and Heidi are still healthy, well, and planning more adventures during 2020! I'm serious man, nobody rides a Sportster like the CaveCouple does! and especially WHERE the CaveCouple ride! I would love to read some more!

Oh Wow, Thanks a ton OldManDragon! This is one of my earlier threads and I appreciate you bringing it back to life, I love Ride Reports. Ride Reports have been such a huge part of our lives starting back in 2002' giving us, Cavegirl and I tons of information, inspiration and love from all the inmates here, I cannot say enough about that. Back in 2016' Cavegirl and saw the NORRA race in Baja. Instantly we are hooked and start racing motorcycles in Baja (at age 59 ?) Anyways, thanks again. None of this would have been possible without the support from Cavegirl and the ADV community. :super

And thanks for asking, Cavegirl and I are doing great. We RODE to Sturgis again last year on the Sportster camping out and already have reservations (pay back) for next year (anyone want to join us!?) but first we are racing the 2020' NORRA Mexican 1000 in April and we would love ADV support (spiritually, not financially) during the race. We will post a report here for sure so chiming in will be much appreciated :)

This is so cool, since you and nichloasjerry1 like this thread i would like to point to some of our other threads that i like a lot, and i think you will to. And if you do please don't hesitate to give us a bump ;)

    Cheers! ADV Rocks!

Man just do it. Take a long ride overnight and post it somewhere here on ADv. it's a snowball effect, you will get people encouraging you and helping you do the next ride. Seriously the ADV community is a life changer for living life to the fullest. And please keep us informed :wave

I'm planning to take a week off work to do a 7 day trip up the west coast from just south of LA all the way up to Portland, Oregon in the spring. I can't wait to hit the road!
