I just picked up a Guzzi G-5 (949cc, 5 speed) that is fitted with Lester Mags. I can't see paying the weight penalty of mags, and not having them set up for tubeless.

Has anyone ever set up a late 70's early 80's set of Lester Mags for tubeless operation?

I have converted many a set of the standard Guzzi cranked spoke mags of that same era. Since the inside had no flat machined around the stem hole, I always simply tapped the hole for a 1/8 pipe thread, and fit a tank valve. Works amazingly well. I'd prefer to not tap the Lesters,

Does anyone know of a tubeless valve stem that works in the Lester Mags?

    Thanks,
    Mike

I think I used these on my Lesters on my 77 R100S.

Thanks... I assumed the inner surface of the rim was curved, and that normal flat rubber washers on these type of stems wouldn't seal. But there it is in the description... fits lester... thanks again
