Yea, I agree, it looks better with the knobs. But the Tourances came with the bike and I'm kinda planning on a tarmac/gravel/dirt road trip for a month or so and hopefully lots of twisties, so I left em on.

But the knobbies do look dreamy.

Well, they are a pretty stupid dirt bike but, fuck, the desire to get a GSA is growing within me. :eek1 :lol3

Obviously he didn't, and you didn't click on the link. :lol3

namaste, this has to be some sort of record that I've only seen bettered in the sprotbile world, buy bike, bin bike, bust yourself.

Collar bones such and although I've not broken mine, I have a very severely separated one that 4 years later I still can't lay on that side. Hope you heal well. Based on the low seat, you're not a big dude so you certainly have some sac for putting in the effort.

This bike just instills a lot of confidence despite its size (obviously a little too much). The weight didn't feel to bad until things went to shit. No worries though...No more cares about the first scratch. :lol3

Bang the dings out of the bags and I'm good to go.

Guess it's farkle ordering time while the wing is on the mend.

BTW, This xray looks better than the last. Nice pointy bit.

As soon as i'm mended I look forward to trying again. Hoping not to miss the death valley spring bloom.

Now, if you'd only had the knobs on. . . .

I do hope you heal quickly and get back to twisting that compliant throttle.

But we DO need some photos of the damage to the bike. (You show me yours; I'll show you mine. Similar damage, I suspect.)

Great bike!! Looks just like mine.. (I have had mine off road a bunch with the conti trail attacks) Course I've also dropped it a bunch of times..:lol3

I have to stay out of mud without the knobbies..

I love mine!! Have 3,000 mi trip planned in May.. (All road miles) (Still go gravel whenever I can!!)

I have a red and grey 07...it's the best thing I've ever owned.

contrary to popular opinions...the GSA is NOT a dirt bike. Try to ride it like one and you will pay a hefty price. I've tried, and I broke and bent a bunch of stuff...600 dollars later...now I have an 06 RMZ 450 for that.

Now that everyone is suficiently POed with me...

Think about a GSA like a big truck with a camper shell on the back...it can go almost everywhere a baja truck can go, maybe not as fast. That's how I use my GSA. It's been all over the desert, usually around 15 to 25 mph over the flats and much slower over whoops. It's been jumped, ridden on sand dunes, over rocks, through flooded washes...you can't get that grin off my face for weeks after these adventure. It is NOT a dirtbike. It's a trans-continental dual-sport touring bike. Knobbies or not...lowered PSI or not...the forces behind a 750lb bike is much greater than a 250lb bike.

A skilled rider (NOT ME) can probably ride a GSA like a dirt bike.

Damn! Nice little tumble! How'd you get both sides in the front? Either way, the bike definitely did better than you.

Good opportunity to replace the stupid wind guards with some proper hand guards. You should be able to bash the box back in place and the same for the mounting bracket. You now see why I won't ride very aggressively off road with the boxes on.

Oooh, I just saw the first expensive bit: the fog light. Ouch! Again, I remove mine before I hit a trail. As I look a little closer, I hope the subframe isn't bent, but it might be. Check the welds and if they are still good, just bend stuff back in place as best as you can.

    Heal up!
