Does anyone have a recommendation for an online parts source, specifically Honda parts? I know about bikebandit but their prices seem really high. Almost like full retail pricing. Thanks! -Jason
Are you taking OEM parts or after market? Rocky mountain has both. http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/
I have had very good luck with Babbit's. Good prices and quick shipping.: http://www.babbittsonline.com/honda-motorcycle-parts
Ron Ayer has prices far below the Bandit. http://www.ronayers.com/ Rocky Mountain ATV has the best service. I cannot tell you how prices compare between Ron Ayer and Rocky Mountain.
One thing I have found is places with low prices have high shipping & handling. That really pisses me off because you don't know that until you get to the checkout. I use BikeBandit because they are good to deal with and their price with shipping is about as good as any.
I've used these folks successfully. I haven't compared them to the others listed here. http://www.directlineparts.com/
BikeBandit prices may seem high at first glance, but with a 10% discount for AMA members, plus the accumulation of 'points' or whatever they call them, means that the actual price paid is pretty competitive.
Yep. Ron Ayers is my go-to for OEM parts. Fuck the local dealer here -- they always say "no we don't have that but we can order it." Guess what? So can I.
Ron Ayers. Around Thanksgiving, Ayers will run a big sale. I think the last one was 10-15% off everything!
Do they still make you chase down the Honda parts numbers yourself, or have they moved to an online fiche system like everyone else? I tried to use them years ago but gave up because of how difficult it was.
I started using http://www.powersportsplus.com/parts/search/Honda/parts.html They seem to have the best prices on Honda parts and low shipping costs. Not sure how long they have been in business. They look to be a combination of several dealers ? Ride Safely,
I use www.cheapcycleparts.com or www.servicehonda.com I kind of like servicehonda's old fashion parts fiche sometimes to look up odd parts and what-not that I can't find any other way.
I sometimes order weekly from PowerSports Plus. They have treated me very well through a lot of bike restoration projects. They are a sister company to a very large company called Boats.net.
Ha-Ha! My brother always says that after such experiences and I agree. I too vote for Ron Ayers: http://www.ronayers.com/fiche Have used them for my Kawasaki, Honda and Suzuki.
I don't ride a Honda these days, but I still try to go to the local Honda shop. The parts counter guy always tries to run a deal for you. I've had him give me excellent prices on both parts and gear on multiple occasions. I went in once, found a Tourmaster jacket on closeout for $95. Took it up to the counter ready to pay the $95, and he says "Hmm... we've had this a while, how about $80?". He'll even try to get deals for you when he has to order the parts, so I prefer him over Ron Ayers. Not all dealers are this awesome though. YMMV.
