The Pa back roads have a bunch of old steel trestle bridges like this

closer to Renovo there was another cool bridge.

then I noticed a water crossing going parallel to the bridge:evil

    After:

sweet winding roads through central Pa.

a few dirt roads, but I stuck to pavement mostly for times sake. over 500 miles yesterday, minimal highway.

Renovo is an old railroad town that's definitely seen better days, still a very cool working class town on the Susquehanna surrounded my lush green mountains. We stayed right downtown and scored VIP parking. rooms were $30

This morning there was an enduro 10 mi. out of town.

into the forest just South of Renovo were some really nice dirt roads and a cool old fire tower.

we came back onto pavement and stopped for refreshments just in time

It poured for a half hour.

This crappy Dam only lasted 2 years and killed 78 people when it broke. It's now a little park. the old abandoned pulp mill is also very cool and just down the road.

Bill and Rich and I parted ways in Driftwood. They slabbed it back to Cleveland and I took a couple of beautiful county roads down into State College where I'm currently held up. Tomorrow back North and into the Adirondacks

stopped here for a family of deer and found an old bud bottle in perfect condition. 1960's?

had to check out this road given my home state.

I spotted a GS at a country store in Eldred, PA and decided to say hello. Glad I did 'cause Bill led me to one of the best Philly's I've ever had.

beautiful area, thanks for taking us along.

Do you have a map or route that you took?

I am going to traveling, in a car, from White Sulphur Springs, WV to the Maine coast in early November, weather permitting, and would love to travel some of these roads.

Just follow the roads that look like squiggles on the map:evil

From W.Va you should be able to hit some great PA roads if you head due North. The 'dacks are great too but may be a bit out of your way heading to Maine. Make sure to check out Acadia and some of the rides/drives around there. and have a lobster roll for me
