It's a terrible picture - I was still a bit shaken from falling over...literally. I had slowed to perhaps 5-7 miles an hour when the front disappeared out from under me. I'd already gotten through the 'deep' water, and was on the part that the cars had tracked out from the gutter (visible in the foreground) onto the road.
It was a warm October day.

To this day, I still have no idea what caused the front to wash out in 'reasonable' traction conditions, and YouTube videos of people riding when it's *gasp* RAINING!!!! utterly *baffle* me. Nevermind staying upright on snow!
