The April 2013 issue of Young Machine features a bike with the wording "CTX 1300N" next to it on its front cover. This fairing-less machine appears to have a Motus V4, or Motus V4 looking engine in it.

Anyone have this issue, and could comment on it?

No idea, but Honda already has a longitudinally mounted V4 in the ST1300, so it is probably a photshop of somebody's idea of what a semi-naked version would look like.

    I like it.

    Kinda F6B but not a Wing-ish.

Hmmm, very interesting bike. A CTX with 117hp :evil
"This new CTX1300 follows many of the smaller, cheaper CTX700′s design cues: half-fairing, hard panniers and a two-level seat. Upgrades on the larger bike appear to be LED running lights, integrated speakers (and presumably an affiliated infotainment system) in the cockpit, a chopped screen reminiscent of the F6B’s and mirrors which incorporate LED turn signals. Like the ST1300, the CTX1300 has crash protectors mounted on the engine. A nice touch for a bike which should be equally at home commuting, touring or leisure riding."

Not bad. Do you think it will have a traditional gear shifter? I can't see one by that guy's boot.

I won't do push button or auto shifting.

the fifth picture in the link in post #7 shows the guy pulling the clutch in and a shift pedal seems visible in the pic.

Honda's on a roll.. but still no replacement for the aging ST1300

Maybe?? Really hard to tell. But I'm sure any auto shifter would be optional.

I think there is a shifter there, the boot is just in the way.

Wont do auto shifting? Have you tried Honda's DCT? I tried it, and I like it!

I really like this. It's different. The 1300cc V4 is incredibly reliable, and makes plenty of power. This thing looks very comfy. Should make an outstanding commuter and long distance bike.

+1. I'm all pro-choice so I hope they offer both, but my choice would be DCT.

And seriously all of you who hate it in principle, at least try taking it for a test ride. If you still hate it, fair enough... but it might not be as bad as you think it is :)

Was it ever really alive or just some zombie scoot? AS for the CTX 1300, is it ugly or just a little weird looking (reminds me of something the OCC people made)? Another DN01 in the making?

    A really nice looking face

And a damn near perfect riding position (for me). Hope Honda offers the optional higher windscreen from the CTX700. Oh, and a much larger fuel capacity.

Any new outlet for a Honda V4 is a good thing! :clap

It has nothing to do with whether it works or not, it has to do with the fact that most of us spend a lot of time and energy becoming better riders through skill, training and lots of practice. Being a good rider is something to be proud of and something you earn.
It's just like those stupid flappy paddles in Ferrari's - there's no question as to whether or not they work at all

Here's the supposed "leaked" Honda Upcoming New Models internal doc that surfaced a few weeks back. Rumors state the bottom section are the models slated for North America:
