How do ya know if your clutch is bad. Last night on the way home I had a definite vibration issue with the bike. Seemed to be worse in 5th gear then it was in 4th. I have pulled the bike down to the clutch assuming it was going bad. drive shaft is good..trans is good (rebuilt by Bob's motorworks). I noticed when I got home (bike hot) that the bike was making some weird noises when it was in gear with the clutch pulled in ( while I rotated the rear wheel back and forth). I the clutch is bad, then what do I need to replace...everything?

Generally speaking, a worn out clutch should not cause any vibration issues. Usually it will just slip on you a bit (kind of like you are driving with the clutch pulled in just a little)

What kind of bike are we talking about here?

It is a GSPD/hack. The previous morning I had ridden it pretty hard (fast) I was wondering if I had overloaded the friction disk. Upon inspection, the disk has several glazed areas...don't know if that is normal wear or not.
