I have been using a Fly Patrol jacket for spirited trail use but the zippers are not holding up very well so I am looking for something with better quality and waterproof. I really like and use the big vents on the Fly jacket. The only other jacket I can find is the Fox 360 that might fit the bill but have never seen one other than the internet. Any experience with the Fox 360 or other suggestions? Edit - Looks like the Thor Range jacket may also work - any experience?
Sorry i can't answer your question but can you give me some insight about the patrol? Ive been looking into getting one myself.
Here's one: http://www.mooseracing.com/products/?productGroupId=1128&productId=114602 I love it here in the midwest for winter riding. It might be to warm for CA riding though. Good luck!
I've had the Fly jacket for about a year and wear it most times I ride (offload weekly - SoCal). Like it a lot and you can find em on sale for less than $100 so great value. It will soak through quickly in a steady rain and the zippers for the sleeves come apart in the middle now that it has some wear. Also it feels like the front main zipper is on its last leg and doesn't want to zip up easily. The front chest and rear vents are large and very good, when used with no sleeves and all vents open (has shoulder vents as well) is good for 100+ degrees desert off road riding. For the early AM or late ride home over the mtns I zip the sleeves back on for warmth. It has no pads which I like as I wear a pressure suit on underneath, it is sized a little large. The chest vent zippers are waterproof but the jacket is not. Tempted to buy a new one every year and treat the fabric for waterproofing but I wash it every week and will have redo the treatment often in the winter which is not a big deal.
