    Greetings all,
my new book about the boom years of London despatching in the 1980s is out on Kindle on Wednesday (~$7).

    More on the website:
Adventures in Motorcycling – Despatching Through 80s London

All very London and UK-centric, but plenty of bad behaviour on bikes from classic Brit twins and thundering Italian street racers, to demented dirt missiles and nitrox-injected rats.
If you grew up with bikes from the late 70s, you may well get it.

Also available as a limited run 284-pp paperback in early November, direct from me in the UK.

Or - save you money and use your observational skills for a chance to win a Kindle or paperback free in this Spot the Difference competition.

Just got it off Kindle US and started reading it; fun start :evil

Hoping you list a few of the courier companies as a mate of mine was a DR in the 80's when we shared a place in Croydon and i can't recall their name. They had a BMW fleet and I crashed his on a Sunday taking my girlfriend for a ride (my bike was off the road so he loaned he his work bike). 80MPH slide on the M25 in the rain and the bike didn't look to bad considering :D

    Cheers :freaky

Hi Mog, I suppose that's one way to impress the g/f ;-)

I do name a few in the despatching chapter and now I come to think of it there was an outfit that supplied BMs which would have been quite flash and prestigious at the time (but a dog to ride in town - you'll get to my opinions on BMs from that era soon enough).
    Courier somethingÂ…. Systems?

You know there's a courier thread here on adv:

Enjoy the book and spread the word.

    Chris

PS: Croydon has gone downhill since you left

Downhill? It was already below sea level and I contributed to that plunge in ways I cannot mention :D

Word is already spreading, Chris. :clap
