Hey all! I'm gearing up for a trip at the end of December. It's very loosely planned aside from a few solid dates. I'm looking for (a) buddy(ies) to adventure with. A few things about me: I'm pretty relaxed, friendly, liberal (but not very political), 26 years old, traveling on a budget, and think I'd be a pretty good adventure buddy. Enough about me. About you: You're interested in a similar trip. Maybe down to share some accommodation to save money. You're okay with roughing it from time to time. It's a plus if you also ride a KLR, but I won't make fun of you if you're on one of those rich kid bikes Here are my solid dates: December 25th: The Los Angeles area. January 1st-ish: New Mexico (Santa Fe) January 23rd: Guatemala... I'm meeting a friend there this day. I will hang out around Guatemala/Belize for two weeks, and then I plan on continuing on South. If any legs of these trips come close to lining up with yours, do let me know! I'd love to have a riding partner. Take care everyone! Safe riding!
Hey, I'm heading down earlier than you, but it looks like you'll catch up in Guatemala probably. I'm leaving late Nov., in AZ early Dec. then Mexico and south. Will spend a lot of time in Mexico, maybe hit up the Rainbow Gathering on the 21st, then on to Belize. Will spend a good amount of time there and then Guatemala and south. I'm on a KLR and on a budget, 37 years old and am experienced international traveler, but very little Spanish. Plan on stopping somewhere and maybe taking a couple week class. Will probably run into you in S. Mexico or Guatemala... stay in touch.
