There is some really nice riding up in northern Hanover and the adjoining counties.

    My favorite VA winery.

If it lasts until Saturday, it won't last any longer.

I just rode by that yesterday on my way to Richmond.

Plus this is the perfect way to show off the new Ride.

So TAG, check out my new bike:clap

Players are reminded that they are expected to get the new tag up ASAP. Roughly 24 hours is the maximum it should take. Assuming someone with a job picks it up on the way home or after dinner, they can set it on the same schedule.

The game grinds to a halt when there is no active tag. Especially when a Saturday doesn't have an active tag to chase.

And, as always, you risk losing the tag if you allow 72 hours to go by.

Nice new ride BT! That thing is a sweet triple. Don't see too many of them around.:thumb

I can stop looking around for an old Connie in Ruckersville or on 33 and just look for the triple headlights...or will it be the triple exhaust I'll need to be on the lookout for now.:lol3

BTW Shawn feel free to drop that tag around here...

Yeah some of us have to work. Last night was a rare chance the wife said "go ride and get that tag"

I guess if you wanted it up earlier you should have gone and gotten the tag, otherwise it will be up on saturday:freaky

You're kind of missing the point here.

It slows the game down when players sit on a tag so they can post a really cool one they've got in mind, rather than just posting a decent tag that can be done sooner allowing the game to start again.

    No I get the point,

    but Let me reiterate mine:

Just like you couldn't get out yesterday to get the tag,
I can't get out today to set the tag.

So again it will be up on Saturday, well withing the stated setting durration described in your rules.

Agreed. You are within the 72 hours.

I apologize if you feel you are being singled out. But setting a new tag asap has been the standard for several months now, and there have been several people reminded of this, but far more complaints PMd to me when players don't post up a new tag asap.

A Saturday post isn't the end of the world, and it's just one of those things that you happened to be the guy whose play was used as an example. I have no way of knowing if you are able or agreeable to posting a new tag sooner unless I ask. That's just a reality of life.

There are tags I have not gone after because I knew I wouldn't be able to post a new tag in a timely manner. It's my job (self appointed as it may be) to remind the players that we owe it to each other to post asap.

I hope this hasn't soured your opinion of the game. I don't want anyone to feel the game is too driven by rules or too inflexible.

My apologies if I came on too strong.

No singled out, you posted to hurry up and I replied.

Then I got a PM, and now there are three or four additional post about this. It's like telling a judge you really really object after after he denies your first objection. It really doesn't get you anywhere.

I guess right now if I were you I would tell you to quit cluttering this thread as it is only supposed to tags and grabs not chatter.

    But I digress.

Bowtie, this isn't Jo Momma. I hope you decide to enjoy the game and get past this.

Chatter is stuff that is unlrelated to the tag, or specific to the game.

This isn't chatter. I wouldn't stop anyone from commenting on the game, and I never have.

But I also think that this is an important topic to discuss in an open forum. I've gotten over 600 PMs relating to this game, and many of them have to do with the 72 hour rule. I've put a post in the chatter thread, so that it doesn't become a distraction and change the tone of this thread, asking for input on this issue.

I hope you and anyone else with an opinion on it participates.
