As it turns out, yeah you can and its really not that big of a deal.....

I was surfing Craigslist today at work and I noticed a guy listed this tv for $100 - "just got a new TV, get this thing of here ASAP". I went over there straight from work and bought it and asked the guy if he would hold onto it for me so I could grab my room mates car. He said, no, he had three guys on their way over, the first person to get it out of the house was the new owner.

    CHALLENGE ACCEPTED.

    Well played! :beer

Though it sounds like you bought a TV with some drama behind it if the guy if unloading it for $100 lol...he could've easily gotten 4-5x that no matter what brand the TV is.

Nah, a KLR rider would have bought a CRT TV.

That TV looks like a surprisingly good fit on the bike. Well done. :clap

Now, the SUV I saw last night, with one of those extended weedeater/chainsaws for trimming distant branches is a different matter entirely. It was attached to the vehicle on one of those hitch mount cargo trays at about knee level, sticking out a couple of feet on the left side and at least four feet on the right. That was the side with the chainsaw attachment. The total width of this gizmo was wider than the lane.

The vehicle had a perfectly serviceable roof rack that this power tool could have easily been strapped to lengthwise, or hell, even crosswise it would have been above most other traffic and pedestrians.

Did I mention this was at night? On a multi-lane divided highway.

So, what you did was perfectly fine. Really.

    Nice job!

Okay, it can be done, but the reception is lousy, not many channels come in clearly. :D

15 lbs maybe? It really didnt make much of a difference at all. WAY easier than riding with a pillion - and probably a little more downforce

15lbs? Sure you didn't buy an empty box?

I just bought a 60" TV. It's the lightweight LED LCD and that weighed in at 47lbs.

ummmmmmmmmmmmm...... I hope thats not the case

    :lol3

I think that has more to do with the fragility of the glass laid flat than the device.
