Actually my dad rode a BMW back in the day! :lol3
The Norton there is a friends. Here's a couple other friends bikes from a recent slide scanning project of mine....a brand new (at the time) Commando Fastback and a very tidy Dunstall Atlas.

That's not a "Fastback", that's a 68 "Commando". Fastback models came out in later years but for 68 that was all you could get. Here's my project - not as pretty! :)

I'll play, here's one I built a few years ago. Bought the frame and bits on Evil Bay and made a bike out of it.
Sold it to an artist type in Manhattan with a loft full of collector bikes.

Here's mine. 1972 Norton 750 Commando Roadster. My dad was the original owner & he gave it to me 3 years ago! It was originally black. My dad had it redone in 2000 & had it painted yellow. It sat outside in Maine for several years after that until I got it. I put about $4000 into & had it painted Triumph Aluminum Silver so now it looks like this:

You've done a wonderful job. I really like the paint job. Who did the polishing, painting, etc., for you? I live in Ohio and am always looking for people who do good work.

    Congratulations!

Thanks! My friends & I spent a lot of time on it. I got all of the parts that needed replacing(all cosmetic) at British Only & had a friend of a friend in Ann Arbor do the paint. My dad had the motor redone in 2000 so that was still good to go! It was worth all of the stress, blood, tire kicking, spending time with friends, swear words & learning experiences! Sometimes I think about getting another old Norton or Triumph & doing it all again! Cheers

No details with the photo unfortunately. I would definitely be wanting something to slide on I think!
