The San Juan Trail Riders had their annual cook out, fundraiser, and ride yesterday and after tense negotiations I was able to make the ride. The plan was to get to the site early so I could participate in the C class ride, eat lunch, and head home. By the time I threw all the shit in the car I didn’t get to the site until noonish. So the order changed to eating then riding. I was hurried so I forgot half of my stuff but I did remember the camera.

There was quite a turnout. There were 18 people in the C class ride and 20 in the B class ride.






Brainless_1 and Anna showed up. Note the post ride dusty face sign on Brainless_1.


Bear even got a pic-nic out of the deal.



Douglas was there.


Taosgsr was there also.


We got an update on the good works of the San Juan Trailriders.


The day was gorgeous. The skies were crystal clear and it was cool but not cold.



Unfortunately in my rush to get things together I forgot my GoPro. Brainless lent me his go pro but after the first couple of stops I hit a couple buttons out of order and wasn’t able capture more data.

Thanks for the video Pappa, now there is proof the husky lives. That was a fun day, it's great we have people like Allen and Gary, the fight will only get harder. Now that Jr GSr is a fully capable rider, I plan on taking him to the most valuable single track so he understands what it is we will loose if the fight is not continued. Last summer he and I rode the Calico, stoner, winter, fall and JB as it was under the suit. Jr GSr has been raised as a respectful rider and I hope one day he can teach his sons or daughters to ride and respect the trails as well.
That will only happen if, there are still places to ride.

Rm needs a new top end and exhaust gasket, xr still needs stator and electrical. Looks like I'm out for a while. Most likely buying the stator this weekend. Hopefully ill have something to ride soon.
