For DSR the IMS tank is a must.

Yep, this is a PERFECT bike for you: you're proven Weird... Normal folk just notice Land Rovers as being the vehicles on the hard shoulder with the bonnet open... :lol3

Stock tank is good for about two hours of trail riding. IMS tank hasn't shown up yet. :bluduh

Stock tires are decent in the loose stuff but wearing out fast--they'll be replaced with these (Pirelli Scorpion XCMH):

The tank is all installed. I rode about 75 miles yesterday, all off-pavement, and the fuel light didn't even come on! :clap

I can definitely feel the extra weight on the front, but it's worth it.

Just not many of these bikes out there, period. ApriliaForum has a dedicated subforum for them, but it is mostly SXV-centric. Still, it's a great technical resource.

But I think this is the thread that you're looking for. :lol3

I just ran down to the gas station after putting 75 miles of dirt riding on last weekend, and it got just around 30mpg--a little higher than I was expecting!

There are many minor threads with interesting infos and comments:

And then a fantastic build thread:

But, no, the RXV has never been blessed with a "specific bike" thread... Is this gonna be the one? Don't know yet but I subscribed anyway... Very interested in this little monster...:D

Malcolm Smith has a couple of them 'upstairs' he'll let go for $2500. No titles though. Gray market I guess.

Talk about a white elephant.

I have one that has a few hundred miles on it, just never got the time to ride it and am thinking of putting it up for sale. It is in like new shape and had the DE-restriction done before I picked it up from the dealer when it was new.
keep an eye in the classifies for the posting. It one powerful Thoroughbred and those who have one know it is what it is and that's a lot.

If I were going to spend too much money on a dirt bike, it would be a Freeride 350.
