I'm about I put an FCR on my own 620adv. What did you do for the choke? Can you use the stock cable/fitting? Any chance of a pic?

I'll take a pic when I get back to it... It's not in my garage... I didn't mount it. However, I did put a fcr41 on my sxc (03 with bst40) and it went fine. There was a nub I had to grind down a bit, but it worked great... I can't say if one for quicksilver carb is the same or not...

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news! Unless Holan added the older versions (pre '03) recently, these will not fit! I got a set a couple years ago and was really disappointed!

For clarification, the motor mount plates for the front of the frame are different and so is the nav tower bracing.

Didn't expect em too.. I will get something fabricated, but its way easier to start with a template and work from there.. It was something to work on after I get it running and on the road, but its getting harder and harder to find any..

That speedo looks awesome. Are you gonna try to use the fuel gauge? What's the price? I need to know my options for when my stock tripmaster finally gives out.

If krylon orange is close. Then orange. As I have never done any sanding and painting of plastic, firgured it be easier to do... That and my seat, not shown, has an orange and sliver base

Ok, as stated bars don't line up. Shouldn't be to hard to fab something. However, what I'm going to need t start, is a beefy skidplate to serve as a bottom mounting spot.

Anyone know of a beefier skidplate than the OEM.

I would take the tank and faring to an autobody shop and have them paint it OR.. go to Oreilly's and pick up a Pint of orange then go to harbor freight and buy a 20 dollar Hvlp paint gun and shoot it in garage using plastic sheeting to make a spray booth.. buy new UFO 620 plastics from ebay and an OEM or Guts seat cover. As far as the skid plate the OEM one shown in the HOLAN photo is a great one. you may need the mounts too..Touratec makes skid plates as well as flatland racing (I belive) Remember alot of 640 lc4/adventure and sxc parts will interchange. Keep this bike as stock as possible she is rare.

Rock Hard Rally gear skid plate or Flatland Racing is your best bet!

    Cheers

I've got the Touratech skid on mine, stock will be going back on as it is much thicker than the TT, which has hard angles and no bends!

Ok, while I have additional plastics (also faded), that I was going to use to practice painting, etc... I recently picked up some UFO plastics as well (they were a steal) so I figured I would mount em

    before

    after

    Looks better, right....

However, I started trying to mount up the rear racks - fortunately from the LHS... However, I couldn't get everything to fit - grrrrr..

I figured out the issue... check this out

If you check closely - you can see the lhs curves outward more than the OEM

So while everything mounts up, perfectly - it looks like the side covers aren't an exact match.. I dont know if these are more universal with room to hide a battery (similiar to my xr650l) or a tool case....

Either way, it looks like I am now going to have to paint it, if I want to use my rear racks...

Save yourself some trouble and money... watch this video before going out to buy paint..

P.S. I think the UFO plastic has been moulded based on the later model high exhaust, notice the ventilation gap as well...

P.P.S. I'm curious as to why you've raised the back end of the rear luggage rack?

Just went and looked at mine!
That's for one with the High Mount Leftside Exhaust, like a '99-'00!

Make use of the space and tuck a Tool Tube in there!

I figured... As pretty much all the big KTM's of that period had the left high mount exhaust.. I doubt UFO made a special aftermarket setup for just the EGS-E 620 Adv..

As for the raised back end. It was done by the PO.. It came with Pelican bags - looks like it may have been done to allow access

Cool, makes sense seeing how the luggage mounts ..

Give that plastic restoring trick a go, I'm eager to see the result :lurk
