Can someone tell me who makes the small wireless remote radar detector light that mounts in the corner of your face shield? I have seen the units for sale from time to time but can't remember who makes it for the Passport. Also, If someone out there that has used one of these can comment on how well they work I would appreciate it. Thanks
May want to check out the "Radar detectors, Yea or Nay" thread I posted a few weeks ago....It has your answer (and then some) Lots of nice set up pics and info dished out.... Its now on about page 7 of this, the equipment section... To directly answer the question, legalspeeding.com sells them and has some good info.
I read the OP too fast, you don't want the Marc Parnes visual alert, you want the H.A.R.D system that Xeraux linked. You should read some reviews though there were many problems with at least the early ones.
I like Valentine. Has a very long range. It does front and back. Has a remote w/front or back indicator.. http://www.valentine1.com/
Plus again on Marc's Visual Alert. Its bright enough even in full daylight that you won't miss it going off!!
I like the idea of Marc's Visual alert too - powered from the detector. With the HARD system, there's just one more on/off switch to remember and battery to change. But I'm going to stick to using a cable to sound isolating ear buds.... it's easier to distinguish radar bands and signal strength - eyes are busy enough.
