Any inmates between Enumclaw, WA and NW Wisconsin hide your children, pets and old folks because I will be hurtling toward the rising sun across the northern Rockies and Great Plains the second week of May! Canadian inmates may be threatened if I should make an erroneous left turn anywhere along the route...:huh

My decision-making skills may be somewhat suspect as I could have had it shipped to me for 3 times less the cost of my fly and ride.

And miss the hapless tale of a 60 year old woman sidecar noobist on a 1700 mile training ride?...not a chance! :eek1

Has all the ingredients of a carefully thought out and sound plan to me. Hope you have a great ride and that the mossies aren't biting yet. My little brother in the UP(Michigan) just reported 8 inches of snow so I don't know what kind of spring you have ordered-pleasant one hopefully.

Sounds not unlike my cherry-breaking ride. Bought a rig in Phoenix and rode it 1500 miles back to Tacoma--my first time driving a hack! (Other than the sidecar class I took from Red Menace.)

If you want me to go over to DMC and take some build pics for ya, just say the word! I'm about 30 minutes away.

Best of luck to you on your trip. I hope you budgeted plenty of time for your trip so you can enjoy it and not make it a mad dash home. We also did a fly and ride to SEA. I agree 100%. We buy them to ride, not to trailer them. People that do that should save their money and just buy a poster.

The mounts are on your bike, The frame for the sidecar has been made, The body is at paint, the leading legs front end will be going to powder coat this week. So we will be ready for you.

Thanks also to DRONE! He has offered to lead me on a local ride and show me some pointers before blasting back east!

He outlined some basic things to keep in mind...

1. Close your eyes before every turn and roll on the throttle.
2. Ballast is for wussies.
3. Throw your weight to the outside of every turn.

Close, but you got #2 wrong. What I said was "ballast is for Triumph wussies!"

And you forgot #4--"Never use your brakes unless you absolutely positively got no other choice, then make sure you lock 'em up!"

What could go wrong?!
