    thanks for the help guys! to me- the condition is truly unknown. the p.o put this in a /7 motor, trans, frame bike. the tach and speedo cables were not even hooked up. so to me, I have to assume the internals are shot.

    TDL028,

    PM sent. Sounds like it's at least good for a core or parts - I'm interested in buying it.

    I checked out your "Frankenbeemer" thread. You're doing some really nice work on that machine! IMHO, and to each his own, but when you switch to the GSXR forks your /5 headlight housing is going to really look out of place. I'd be interested in reuniting the /5 housing with the inoperable speed/tach unit for a project I'm working on. How about a package sale on the bucket and speed/tach unit?

    I have many headlight assemblies of different styles that I could offer as substitutes depending on what you're trying to accomplish. OEM, aftermarket, big, small, weird stuff ... get in touch if you're interested.

    Bob

    that may be an issue but I'm going to hang onto the /5 shell in hopes it will work out. If not I promise ill give you first dibs!

    Anyone have a pair of stock R100rs/rt style handlebars? Un-bent of course. I converted my R90s to a fixed fairing and these will fit the bill nicely. Rather give my money to an inmate if I have a choice! Thanks for digging in your parts bins! I have a good condition pair of stock S bars for trade if the interest is there.

    I have a good set of RT bars in Black but I don't see how you would use them with an S Fairing. Was that RT a typo?

    The flat bars as pictured are what I need. I was thinking the RT bars were the same as RS bars as pictured? The fairing mounting has been modified using an RS bracket.

    RT bars are Monster Buckhorn style bars.

    I bought my Bars from Flanders.

    Those bars pictured look like the Flat European style bars.

    You sure you don't want R90S bars?

    How about these bars? They came off my R80 when I removed the S fairing. 24" wide 2" rise 4" pullback.

    Thanks Roadie, those are almost identical to the "S" bars that I have currently. Sorry for all of the confusion. What I need are the R100RS style bars. They are basically a broomstick bar with a pull back on each side, no rise. Just like this, in 22mm of course. The bars I need are on top. The bars I have are on bottom.

    Hey all;

    Looking for a Corbin seat or something similar, and a good rear shock for my project 1991 R100R.

    The seat needs to have a backrest (which is why I specified Corbin - not sure if other manufacturers have that), so my son can ride in a bit more safety behind me.

    The rear shock is stock, and presumably shot. The bike has a bunch of miles and hasn't run in a decade, so it's the perfect candidate for a blingy Ohlins. :lol3
