Nothing ground breaking but still fun <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/UREVOG6rX24?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
So leased engines in non-yamaha chassis? Buy the Yamaha chassis and lease the engines? Putting the factory engines in a non-factory made chassis seems like a CF.
Despite the concessions that Honda and Yamha are making by providing some factory tech, electronics still trump all and no one can match them here.
Ducati could always lease a Yamaha engine... course they still wouldn't know how to build a good frame...
There are big incentives for all teams to use spec electronics, too. There is a current exception for teams to use their own electronics. I am not sure if that option will continue.
Two videos from the Austin test, shot by Andrew Elder who went there for us: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Q-zHwG4DpqM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Yamaha says "effin twitter, here's the rules guys..." http://www.asphaltandrubber.com/racing/lin-jarvis-social-media-yamaha-motogp-policy/ Which is a bummer because I have loved Alex Briggs tweets and hate that they would put a cap on them. I don't think I've ever seen any damaging tweets from him either. But I guess Ben scorching the hair off their balls by quitting via twitter last year left a bad taste in their mouth.
Ben should have had more class but he was trying to protect his market value and brand. Don't get me wrong I hope he turns it around and I understand his misfortune but come on Twitter to announce he's leaving Yamaha, come on..
Totally reasonable on yamaha's part. I'd insist the same if I was in charge. You never know when someone from within the team/company is going to say something stupid and tarnish the reputation of the whole company.
I agree, and a lot of large companies have this in place now. I just hope it doesn't totally wreck the information we get on twitter. Hell only reason I'm really even on twitter is for racing stuff.
Anyone have experience with the MotoGP Live Experience 2013 APP? I don't have cable or cheap access to it and shift work (including Sundays) makes it difficult to catch the races live at work or friends places. I would love to have an app that allows me to watch the races live and/ or watch them at a later time. The app description is not very clear on what the $22.99 offers. It keeps saying live timing and scoring but does it also cover video for the whole race? Can it be watched at any time or live only? Does that cover the whole season? Thanks for any info! Joe
