Pictures of Indigenous People

So I was looking through some past trip photos and had the idea to start a thread of the best pictures of indigenous people you have come across in your motorcycle travels. I'll start, this is a pic of a Tamahumara Indian we met near Copper Canyon, Mexico. We were looking for a water fall and made a wrong turn. We ended up in an extremely rural and poverty stricken area. This proud gentleman was walking down the road. He couldn't have been more friendly and was a great ambassador for his country.

Here is another unique gentleman from Copper Canyon, my buddy Pluric took this one.

Older guys in Cambodia are very friendly usually, and are drawn to dirt bikes. These two guys would have talked to me all day, if we could have just understood each other.








These two were collecting ebony wood. The woman was so curious, but timid...

Flores, Indonesia.... in the hills south of Moni. These ladies had been down to the creek to do the washing and have a bath. The face ointment is to soften the skin... white stuff for the younger girls, more aggressive yellow stuff for the old duck

In Creel, two Tarahumara sisters

The campground we stayed at in Tukuyu, Tanzania also operates a local primary school. When we rolled out of our tent in the morning we found that several of the local girls had shown up early for class.

Masai man in Dar Es Salaam, many of them were working as street vendors of beads and such

As I recall I coughed up a few pesos to these same sisters. Although they were a little younger. I saw them several times, although I always noted how immaculately they were dressed for such a dusty town.

This little girl was beautiful. I think I took this at Divisidario (I'm guessing at the spelling) a train stop on the edge of Copper Canyon, Mexico out side of Creel.

Yes, they were very polite, a little shy and no bargaining with the gringos

They (the Tarahumara) don't especially like having their picture taken, but obliged when asked.
