I am not scared though, soon enough you'll have 30+ new fresh faces yearning to learn a bit more about ilks of Pythagorean, Archimedes and other notables.

Its been a month since my crash. I finally got to look at the XR, my buddy took her home for me. The SMIB sticker is still intact w/o a scratch. :clap The front fender is starting to look beat. The rear fender is now officially beat, and yet the turn signals survived. :huh All I can figure is that the bike flipped endo and didn't touch a side until it stopped. :eek1

It is better to be lucky than good! :evil

    Bruce,

haven't had the chance to take them off asphalt yet. Front gets a bit squirrely at 80+.

I'm trying to promote a dirty dozen ride through Morton's on the 13th of August. Doesn't seem like much interest. I threw it up on BMWBMW as well... we'll see if anyone there is game.

Here's the itinerary (copied from FB) if anyone is interested.

Rawhyde/Morton's GS Dirty Dozen ride coming up. Time to put those skills to use. Itinerary: meet up at Morton's 0800 Saturday August 13th. Head westerly via 3/20/33. Cross into WV and do Westside Dr./Forest Rte. 151. Then Sweedin Valley Rd. back to 33 and Brandywine. Do lunch at Fat Boy's Pork Palace. Those that want to go home at this point can return. Those that want to get dirtier can head off to Dunkle Hollow and up to Reddish Knob. Westside Rd. has about 4-5 small water crossings. This is a 13 mile trip that is very doable for a first timer. Quite a few switchbacks, but shouldn't be a problem. Dunkle Hollow also has a few water crossings. It is a bit more challenging, with a spectacular view from Reddish Knob at the terminus.

You and Dorito game or are you guys going to be packing up for the TLH trip?

From F-burg it's about 2.5 hours out to Westside Rd. Figure about about 45 minutes to get down Westside. Less if we don't stop for pics and what not. Swing around for lunch, another hour, then Dunkle Hollow up to Reddish Knob which is about an hour. Another 2.5 home. Hopefully be home in time for dinner. If not, there's the Log Cabin in Elkton which does a pretty good North Carolina pulled pork sandwich.

    Garrett.

Just do me a favor.... If you see a horse or horse owner, pull over shut off your bike, slit your wrists and pray to God for forgiveness.

    I can hear it now....
JaxWife: uh... tell me again why you are "storing a 13K motorcycle for a friend?

me: well like I tol you, it is an investment, and really belongs someone else.

JaxWife: Let's review, you gave a guy 13K, flew to Texas, rode the bike home, have been using it every day, and somehow you expect me to believe that it belongs to your friend...

I'm guessing that calling it "my precious" and putting a JAX loves me sticker on it is where i failed.
