This forum came about not just for the airheads, though quite a few folks here own at least one.

This is also about vintage iron. The stuff we grew up on. Lusting about, dreaming about on a sunny afternoon after seeing a bike go by. Some of us have been fortunate enough to own the bikes of our dreams, of our youth. Here's a spot just for those machines.

So show us your good stuff. Show us the bikes we all grew up with.

Mine started life as a Yamaha RD350, 1982. Not available in the US, it was the LC model, which was liquid cooled but without the power valve on the exhaust of the later RZ models. In the rest of the world, the RZ's were still called the RD's.

Mine is an old race bike, restored to the street, with some mods along the way. :D It's got the '85 RZ motor and tranny, '83 RZ upper and lower fairing, '84 RZ front end and footpegs, plus various other little tweaks and goodies like carbs of the '79 Daytona 400 cause they're 2mm larger.

So whatcha got hiding in your garage? TD, we know you got some good stuff under them tarps in your garage. Let's see 'em!

DBD Goldstar. This is actually a replica. Some guy in Europe has started casting Goldstar engines from the original plans.

My new 1974 R90S courtesy of the BMWMOA Rally in Spokane where it was one of the two BMWs given away. It now resides, proudly in my garage alongside the '01 GS. In many ways its more fun to ride than the GS and it actually sounds like a motorcycle... :nod [IMG]

Foget the damn lotto - that R90S is a prize worth winning.

Here is Jerry's CB900 with another of my buddies astride. He came into town for a few a days and Jerry let him borrow it for a 600 miles ride.

I have some pretty damn cool friends, wonder WTF they are doing hanging around with the likes of me. Ride report coming on the trip.

I've had this old XS1 for years,it's a rat and I hardly use it now,I think it might have to go.I'll pull it out for the Triumph Poker Run in a couple of weeks,it blends in there - maybe I'll get all sentimental, maybe it'll break down and I'll toss it down a bank.Still a better bike on gravel with street tyres than a dirt bike with knobs.

'82 Katana. 1100cc top end, new frame (long story), 33mm Mikuni smoothbores, ported head and Airtech bodywork. Still fun after all these years.
