Kymco Downtown 300i

Anyone know any more about this scoot? I don't know too much about Kymco, although i remember someone said they used to build parts for Honda.
This model looks to have some really good features. 166 kgs (dry), punchy motor and room for 2 full face helmets.

I don't know about that model(not imported here) but I do know that Kymco was founded as a parts source for honda and has recently been tapped by BMW to build their 450cc engine.

Kymcos are generally considered bulletproof.

Dealer called me. Won't be coming to the U.K for cost reasons. Bloody shame.

Well I'll like so many I do like performance and that generally means cc's This seems like a small jump from the exciting 250 that Kimco makes but yet it may be addressing the 300 from Vespa. when one looks at them they have the same Honda and Burgmann lines. ABS brakes is good and they are showing their steel Frame design. I like the built in adapter for the Iphone Cell or GPS. If it comes with the cupcake i'm in.

That video is pretty dramatic.. gives me a good chuckle when the scooter gets airborne once the girl hops on it and leans side to side to avoid lightning strikes..

It's probably a better bang for the buck than the $4500 Honda SH150i..

Local dealer says it will be cheaper then the XCiting, which we all probably
figured out anyways. Looks good to me!

It is made from pumice, so that has to be good.

Im still well pissed that it won't make it to the U.K. Bad call on Kymco's part. Even at £4500, i would have snapped one up.

Meh. Who cares. Here in the US, we've got fewer choices and the Yager or the SYM HD200 (I recently test-rode one, awesome power for a 171cc!!) would be my choices, for now. Neither scoots really stir my senses, but then again, who really buys a scoot for looks anyways?

Kymco comes from Taiwan, and as an oem parts of Honda originally in 1980's, Kymco has it's own design and product tech now, p.s. I am a Taiwanese.

I love my Kymco and in the two years of daily reading blogs/forums/reviews and any other piece of crud on this interweb thingy, I have found VERY few people dissatisfied with their Kymco. When I read about someone having a problem, it is usually with the delaer and not the product.
