The other day I got my monthly email from Sound Rider and in it was a a bit about getting your bike into the Sound Rider bike display at the Cycle World International Motorcycle show here in Seattle in December.I filled out the form and sent Tom some pics and today I got a email from him saying that I was in !!! YIPPEEEEEEEEE . So this December at the show Black Sunshine will be sitting there next to all the other bikes in all her matt black/bedliner glory !!!
This show gets around 20,000-30,000+people over the 3 days so it will be fun to mingle around the display and listen to what people say !!
The pics I sent in where AFTER the Canada trip and it was DIRTY !! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Also the show is in Decembet,it will cold and rainy and maybe snowing.I have to ride it there so it will be a mess.If it's snowing I will mount up some knobbies on it,that would look cool !!. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I saw a GS hack there in the Soundrider display several years ago, all covered with mud from an Alaska run, and it was an "AHA!" moment for me. That following summer I met Mikepa at a BMW rally, and the rest is history. Took Vernon's class, bought my rig, fixed it up, and started the journey from hack n00b to hack novice. Maybe you'll inspire some similar future hackistas!
Same here,I sold Urals back in the late 90's and could careless about them.Years later I saw one at the show and it was set up for long distance travel and dirty and I was hooked !!. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So today was the start of the show,3 sidecars in this display and 5 total at the show. These shows have been drawing around 75,000 people over the 3 days.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nope,me toooooo! Tried to get my wife to listen to the song last night,no go !!. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I seem to remember some other show with an unfavorable reception. I Can't remember if it was your bike or not, but this pic really shows off the simple beauty of what you have built. I followed along with both builds you did, and I think you arrived at a great looking machine!
