With the reintroduction of the No Stop Rule, I don't think balancing is really that important anymore.

The shiny, new Gas Gas 280 has arrived and all I've done is stare at it as it sits on a stand. The red frame reminds me of a Ducati's trellis unit. Picking it up off the stand makes me think of a Navy dirigible. Everything else is so perfect and tight that I can't imagine converting it to a Fat Tire Trials Machine. Yet.

It is only an Econo model, but I'm still having a hard time soiling her with transmission oil yet.(the three feet of snow are keeping the motivation fairly low too)

How about a Rotax-powered '99 Scorpa? It should be available after October 26 and will only have a few more laps on it by then.

    Regards,

There is a shiny, new GG280 sitting in the shop that I just uncrated.

There was one piece in the bag that had the manuals, footpegs, tools, etc.. that I can't identify.

Does anybody know what this does?

There's no mention of it in the manual. Is that the part that keeps the transmission from going to pieces?

Just taking a total guess as I have never seen one of those bikes, is it the wearable part of the chain tensioner?

That fills the gap between 4th and 5th gear....

Actually it does sorta fill a gap - in the footpeg as a KS stop. nobody uses them.

If you do install it - the 1st step is picking the right hops...:D

If My buddy Spinner doesnt figure it out, we'll need more pictures, you might have oriented the shot from a side we dont really see, like if or when installed.

Forgot to add, to the Original Topic:

Then if Endurocross is Trials, I say Hill-climbing is too.

I couldn't figure out what you mean by KS stop, I guess you mean kick starter, or kick stand?
