Does anyone know of a carbon fiber front fender extender for the 990 adventurer? I found the Maier plastic one on KTM Twins site but looking for a carbon one for some extra bling:evil.

Until I'm putting on rim tape, it will be a police action; not an all out war.

Well I've put over 1000 km on mine without an issue. This includes a 170 km run from Agassiz to Pemberton, all offroad. That included several stream crossings, nasty rock running and some pretty technical riding. Also some hamfisted bottomings of the fork. :eek1

I trimmed about 1.5" off the bottom edge to avoid any problems and have no complaints.

Same thing with the plastic one. It was okay for 30 km.

Not too long after installing one on my new, ('08), I popped a wheelie showing off for my son. As soon as it came down there was a God awful noise coming from I wasn't sure where. Shut it down and thought I broke something important. Upon further inspection, I found the curled up plastic extender under the bike, screws ripped out... Tried to be cool and said, "Guess I don't need this after all"! We had a good laugh and continued the ride. Still haven't put a high front fender on, but I will eventually.
