http://msn.foxsports.com/speed/formula-1/michael-schumachers-wife-building-medical-suite-at-home/ any doctor in the house!? what are the odds for Schumacher at this point!
He needs a Miracle at this point! I hope one happens. (I'm not a doctor now but I was one and will be one again once those Lying women recant their statements)
I haven't followed this closely, but from what I've read Schumi's chances for a full recovery are nill.
Yeah, judging from all the reports, his wife is trying to make Schumi comfortable for what remains of his life. In case anyone missed it, his former doctor believes that (unspecified) critical mistakes were made at the first medical facility he was taken to. It sounds like we can say with certainty that the Michael Schumacher we used to know will never return. He's gone. What no-one seems to know is whether or not Schumacher will ever emerge from what appears to be a vegetative state. If he does, he will have extremely limited mental faculties and won't be able to take care of himself. Life is shocking and cruel.
A technicality. It sounds like his condition hasn't changed since the announcement in April that he was intermittently responding to stimuli. I liken his condition to that of the victim of a massive stroke. Massive bleeding in the brain. He will never recover his mental faculties. He may never leave his bed again. He's apparently still ventilated and intubated. If it were me, I'd prefer death.
"If it were me..." implies he has the sagacity to know death is an alternative to that life. I fear he doesn't, that his mind is little more than sufficient enough to support life, and his family is taxed with 24/7 care for the shell that housed the person they knew and loved.
that's where a living will comes into place And I know, we talked about it at home - but never put it into writing....
Obviously, I'm not suggesting that he has the power to make a decision. He scarcely has moments of consciousness, if what we read is true. I'm saying that death is preferable to what seems to be his lot for the rest of his life.
I am afraid that what wxwax and NICO have stated is true. I think that he was a far along in his recover last April, as he will ever be, and now the family has accepted that. That is why he has now been moved. Sad, just very very sad.
