I'm seriously considering taking the Ural sidecar off my 2007 KLR and putting it on a V Strom. The sidecar has a Dauntless subframe. Any thoughts you'd care to share about the idea?

Go for it. The subframe for a V Strom is a little involved compared to some bikes. Take a look at the thread caleled 'subframes' . Some will not agree but we will not do a rig like you are planning without a swaybar.

I have a Ural sidecar on a V Strom, done by Dauntless. Sort of a dual sport rig, including a swaybar. However, I am having problems figuring how to post pictures, I think the procedure has changed (no?). I notice the numerous pics I had on another thread have been deleted (file size issues or something).

If i can figure it out, I'd be mre than happy to post
