KLR rider here, I live in St. Anthony. Ride by myself quite a bit, doen'st seem to be many that get together in the dual purpose. A ride I try to do annually is the reclamation road east of Ashton, to Grassy Lake on over to Flagg Ranch, north into the park and out to West Yellowstone around n down to Island Park to St. Anthony.

Been to silver city -got a son in Boise so we did that ride. Similar is the ride to/around Jarbridge.
Another thought is Crain Cr Resivoir area (not great but location is between us) should be open now.

I have a favorite ride north of stanley that's beyond belief.

The predictions of Ayn seem so valid only time scale is different.

I started another thread for E Idaho where I noted my ride about a month ago. Cold and short. But there are some interesting rides in the desert (great rift) in a rectangle formed by Carrey Roberts, Pocatello and Twinfalls. Should be good soon.

    meet back here

Might as well be East ID.

Centennial valley and Reclamation Rd. are my back yard. If you leave early Beartooth pass to Chief Joseph and back will wear off a little rubber.

Also have a shop if any of you guys get in a jam up here.

Still a lot of snow around town......can't wait for some warm weather.

Sweet! someone else in blackfoot! Do you know any good spots around here to ride? If you see an orange KTM 640, say hi! Trust me, you'll know it when you see it.

Also: Maps and my gps say that Grandview road gets into desert but I'm not convinced based on riding to end of it. Got any intel?

I think I could go, but I'll have to check with the boss... :deal I still have the SM wheels on my LC4, but I do have my EXC 300 ready to go ( I think) if we are doing strictly off road.

I have absolutley ZERO intel. We moved here 8 months ago, and alls I've had time for is unpacking, working, repacking, unpacking, working, and setting up the garage. :norton I've been asking around a lot, I keep hearing wolverine, copper basin, and some big loop out by Inkom. I've ridden a bit of the state land outside of Pokey a few years ago too.

Main questions I'll need to answer before I can come out and play: when, where, and for how long!?

I'm not into riding my EXC's on roads, dirt roads or otherwise. SM tires such as distanzias should be fine. My tires are barely better than most sm types. Most of the options you mentioned are likely snowed still.

If conditions are poor we may have to use pavement to complete a loop.

Yup, I go past that Sinclair almost every day on the way to work. I just realized that I'm supposed to help clean a ball field at 9, want to meet at 10:00 or just after? I'll be on a goofy looking 640. Which direction do you plan on going?
