I bet I got 2,000 miles out of my last set, but the chain was probably whooped for a while before I changed it.:lol3

Do you use a aluminum or steel rear sprocket?

You should go through 2 front sprockets to one rear also.

Steel sprockets. I do replace the countershaft twice. My 250 mx bike lasts 1 season with aluminum. Not sure on the miles. My chain tension is good. Wonder what gives?

FWIW,,,, I put new chain and sprockets on my 390 just before Sandblast. Total mileage for the rally was less than 100 miles,,,, and I probably only have 300-400 total on them. I noticed the other day the CS is smoked and the rear is pretty sharp.

KTM steel CS and KTM aluminum rear. DID chain.

Thats what I would expect for aluminum sprockets. Everything is aligned via the actual alignment tool. The teeth are wearing like a rip curl wave I guess you can describe it. Front and rear.

"If you're going to sig it at least have the decency to credit it."

"There isn't any secret," he said. "It's all very obvious."

This place is too quiet lately, I think a good catfight is needed to liven things up.
